Rule 14
Secular Franciscans,
together with all people of good will, are called to build a
more fraternal and evangelical world so that the kingdom of God
may be brought about more effectively. Mindful that anyone who
follows Christ, the perfect man, becomes more of a man himself,
let them exercise their responsibilities competently in
Christian spirit of service.
Secular Franciscans who are
serious about their vocation have many special talents, are usually
competent and responsible people. They have experienced God in their
personal lives, and thus are able to tell others about God's love
and goodness in the hope of helping other people realize that with
God at their side, life isn't as dark as it may have originally
seemed. Secular Franciscans are urged to give service to others
selflessly, and so build a more fraternal and evangelical world.
This takes time, usually it takes one person at a time to inspire
another person. Let us bring the joy and inner peace of knowing
Jesus, by following the Gospel, living it to the fullest, to other
people!
