Thousands of brave men and women continue to give their lives, for their
country, for the freedom of those they represent. We do not know them, but
they are our brothers and sisters. They deserve our respect and admiration.
As long as there are wars, there will be those who fight for a noble cause.
Followers of Saint Francis of Assisi are for peace, not war. There are wars
that are formally declared and then there are those that just happen. There
are wars that start as a result of acts of terrorism, civil insurrection,
and for causes less formidable than these. War is seldom just. Many innocent
soldiers are killed, or wounded. And, many civilians, are killed and
wounded, too. All of them, gave their lives. Let us never forget them.
Please
honor and support our Veterans!
There are too
many Veterans who are forgotten!
We must not
forget those who gave their lives....

Lord make me
an instrument of your peace Where there is hatred,
Let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, Joy.
O Divine Master grant that I may
Not so much seek to be consoled
As to console;
To be understood,
As to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it is in dying that we are
Born to eternal life. |
