The Stations of the Cross

1. Jesus is condemned to Death

   O Jesus! So meek and uncomplaining! Teach
   me  resignation in trial.

 8. Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

   O Jesus! Teach me to bear my sufferings in
   silence  and to share the sorrows of others
  in charity and  prayer.
   
2. Jesus Accepts His Cross

   O Jesus! This, Your Cross, should be mine.
   Teach  me to bear my cross patiently.

 9. Jesus Falls the Third Time

   O Jesus! By this fall, teach me to be resigned
   to  life's weariness and to persevere onto the
   end.
   
3. Jesus Falls the First Time

   O Jesus! By this first fall, keep me from ever
   falling into mortal sin.

 10. Jesus is Stripped of His Garments

   O Jesus! My soul has been robbed of its robe
   of  innocence. Clothe me with the garb of
   true penance and contrition.
   
4. Jesus Meets His Holy Mother

   O Jesus! Grant me deep love for Your Holy
   Mother  in her sorrow. Mary! Teach me to
   walk the way of the Cross after Your Son..

11. Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

   O Jesus! You forgive your enemies. Teach me
   to forgive all enemies and to forget all
   injuries.
   
5. Simon, the Cyrenean, Helps Jesus

   O Jesus! Simon's greatest joy was to help
   You.  Teach me to bear the crosses of my life,
   and  help me.

 12. Jesus Dies Upon the Cross

   O Jesus! Teach me to remember always Your
   sacrifice which has opened the gates of
   Heaven  and won for me immense treasures
   of grace.
   
6. Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus

   O Jesus! Veronica's charity earned her a
   glorious  reward. Grant that by charity and
   compassion,  I  may have Your image
   imprinted in my heart.

 13. Jesus is Placed in His Mother's Arms

   O Mother! Receive me into your arms and
   obtain for me perfect contrition for my
   many sins.
   
7. Jesus Falls for the Second Time

   O Jesus! Give me horror for all sin, even
   venial  sin, and preserve me from
   wickedness.

 14. Jesus is Placed in the Sepulchre

   O Jesus! When I receive you in Holy
   Communion  make my heart a worthy
   place for Your adorable Body and Blood,
   Your Soul and Divinity.
