Asking for Healing

Fr. Melvin Doucette of Prince Edward Island (Canada) receives daily contemplations/meditations wherein Our Lord shares with him on a direct basis. This morning (March 28, 2007), Fr. Melvin shares the words of Our Lord:

..." I am always ready to answer any genuine prayer you send Me. I answer every prayer in My own time and way. Many people ask Me for healing, the healing of their bodies, their spirits or their hearts. I continue to heal many. I desire though that you have faith in Me and that you are always ready to do the will of the Father.

The best way to ask for healing is to have one or more people pray for you and impose their hands upon you. The prayer of a dear friend or a group is powerful and will bring about healing without much delay. If you wish for a healing, it is good to repent of your sins beforehand and to offer yourself totally to Me. You will remember what is written in the Gospels that in Nazareth I could not work miracles there because of the people’s lack of faith in Me. They did not believe that I was the Messiah, the Savior, sent by the Father to redeem them.

Miracles and healings are great witnesses revealing the power of God. When a person is healed of cancer, asthma, back pain, or any other sickness, the faith of the people is strengthened. They see Me at work among them and they are more willing to follow the way I have traced out for them. This is what happened when I was on earth and this is what is happening today.

There are also spiritual healings, which have a greater value than physical healings. The conversion of a person is of immense value. It is absolutely necessary for a person to believe in order to reach heaven. Pray, My friends, that all unbelievers will come to accept and believe in Me as their Savior and begin their walk with Me. I love you and I shower My gifts of peace and love upon you all.”

Note: It is up to each of us to believe that these are indeed God's words. Anything this good priest publishes is regarded as private revelation (as far as the Church goes), but I do believe that these are the words of the Lord. I hope you will accept them too. These words say exactly what is already in Holy Scripture. Fred Schaeffer, SFO (For more messages, see Our Lady of PEI website )
